Abstract

This article (1) has been retracted at the request of the authors. There are concerns about the reliability of certain data arising from errors in the assembly of Fig. 4. The same image was used to represent IGF1R and p85 PI3-K in the insoluble [I] fraction in Fig. 4. The authors apologize to the scientific community, deeply regret any inconveniences or challenges resulting from the publication and subsequent retraction of this article, and have implemented various quality checks to avoid a future recurrence. A copy of this Retraction Notice was sent to the last known email addresses for 14 of the 15 authors. Nine authors (Yu-Tzu Tai, Klaus Podar, Yu-Hua Tseng, Masaharu Akiyama, Dharminder Chauhan, Nicholas Mitsiades, C. Ronald Kahn, Constantine Mitsiades, Kenneth C. Anderson) agreed to the retraction; 5 authors (Reshma Shringarpure, Renate Burger, Teru Hideshima, Paul Richardson, Nikhil C. Munshi) did not respond; the one remaining author (Laurence Catley) is deceased.
