Description

The sustainable development of person-centered practice requires consideration of the characteristics of nurses as prerequisites according to the person-centered practice framework. To ensure that nurses have these attributes when entering professional practice, it is necessary to achieve them during their initial training. From a pedagogical perspective, it is unclear what competencies need to be developed to meet these attributes, how they can be developed as part of basic nursing education, how teachers can promote this and develop a person-centered teaching and learning culture.

This Erasmus+ project, which is led by KL and involves three other countries (Germany, Italy [South Tyrol], Switzerland), aims to contribute to anchoring person-centeredness in the training of nursing staff. Through a theory-led, participatory and c -creative process, a broad data basis will be created, which should contribute to a deeper understanding of person-centered competencies and the necessary framework conditions. A cross-nationally agreed competency model will be developed for German-speaking countries, which can be implemented in educational practice through the didactic material folder. The evaluation plan developed and the associated toolbox will make it possible to evaluate competencies and the necessary framework conditions.
