Abstract
In this chapter, both an academic researcher and an older co-researcher share their insights into co-creating research about exclusion from social relations in later life in the context of Austria. The chapter will be structured and organised around the following questions: how co-creation begins, what are the positive and negative experiences with co-creation process, what are the personal gains from co-creation, and what are the challenges and potentials for co-creation. By including the first-hand experiences from both academic and non-academic researchers, this chapter will provide an insider perspective on co-research processes in Austria and the field of exclusion from social relations.
